Salman Khan - the 'Sequel King' to finish four sequels in the next few years!

Salman Khan has several sequels ready to go on floors. He just had to find time for them...

It all began with Dabangg. Making masala the new cool, Salman Khan went on delivering back-to-back blockbusters. And ever since Dabangg, there's been an array of action entertainers that have catapulted him to the heights of superstardom.

Now with a host of films lined up, there are also four big sequels being planned with Salman, which is expected to go on floors in the years to come.

Dabangg 3

Dabangg was the biggest money spinner that year, making and breaking records all at one go. With Dabangg 2, everything was a notch higher- the script, the performances and Salman's aura! And even before it could finish its run, news of its next installment came up. "After Dabangg did such spectacular business, we had planned to design it into a franchise", smiled Arbaaz Khan. But after Dabangg 2, there were news of the third segment to be a prequel. "There were talks of having a prequel. But we have not yet found a good script so as of now, I can't confirm on anything". "But there are a lot of ideas for sure", Arbaaz adds. The director-producer also hinted at Dabangg 3 happening in the near future. "Usually films take a lot of time to be made. We are planning to lock a script in about two months and then we move on with working out the dates with Bhai. But Dabangg 3 is happening for sure".

Bodyguard 2

We hear that the producer and Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri is planning a sequel to the Salman-Kareena starrer. Was it always the plan? Atul feels, "Successful films make potential sequels and Lovely Singh is a character that was so widely accepted that we had to come with a sequel". Also, unlike other sequels, Bodyguard 2 will have a fresh story but will retain the innocence and power of Lovely Singh. "The film does not have a leeway to be continuous and Bodyguard ended on a note, which left no room for continuity. So there will be a new story and we do have some ideas now". But with the list of films that Salman's already blocked his dates for, Bodyguard 2 doesn't seem possible at least in the next two-three years. "Bhai is shooting for a lot of films but he is definitely in the loop for everything. So soon, we will be in a place to talk about it", Atul says.

No Entry Mein Entry

While the sequel has been planned for the longest time, Salman's busy schedule has prompted the makers to postpone the sequel time and again. "I had No Entry Mein Entry planned for years and it will definitely happen sometime in the near future", confirmed Boney Kapoor. Our insiders revealed, "Salman will finish Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan first. Then he will move on to Boney's film". In a previous interview, Salman also had confirmed the same. "I have Sooraj and Kabir's film now. Then I move on to No Entry Mein Entry. I also have YRF's Sultan and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar along with Karan Johar's Shuddhi".

Kick 2

Kick was the only film that took him across the 200-crore mark. Achieving the feat with consummate ease, Salman's Devil avatar in Kick was highly appreciated and even before the film hit theatres, buzz about its sequel began. Recently in an interview, Sajid too confirmed the same. But Kick 2 will be all-the-more special. Why? "Salman himself has decided to write the script for Kick 2. He has a story in mind and Sajid too has liked it. Both of them have decided to take keen interest in the scripting of Kick 2", a source confided. But the fresh story will have a 'more emotional angle' attached to it. Not just that, Sajid too has registered the title of 'Devil' after the Yaar Na Miley song became a huge hit.
